yep the second year of the show....The Dark period.

while generally terrible there was some goodstuff that happeneded during that year. Non involving Bonaduce that i can recall. But one of the funniest things ever happened the day Bonaduce announced his divorce and Rachel Harris was a guest (adam busted bald bryan out for admitting to him he masturbated thinking about her)

It's funny, but I was thinking back to how I made it through ALL of '07 with that gravel-throated freak croaking into the mic ... but how I had to bail on the latter half of '08, as it just became unlistenable.

One of the things I remember really laughing at was when Adam would send Danny out on runs ... like the one time when he rode his hog up to some guy's house to buy something from him off of Craigslist. Danny gave exquisite play by play of driving up to the house then ringing the doorbell then sitting in the garage. Classic radio that I'm sure Adam will put on his induction reel for the radio HOF.

I remember driving to work that year and yelling at the Radio everytime that idiot would say something stupid....i yelled a lot.

Those were some of my favourite episodes as well. Figure out a way to get Danny out of the studio for the whole show. Between his multiple lates with lame excuses, and the outrageous stories he'd share (like the time that burglar broke in and escaped), I'm almost ready to go back and listen to some of it again. I can't believe it's been 2 years already.

The Duce made Adam work for his comedy though, often aimed at Danny. I remember Sean Astin was doing a phoner, and Danny saying something like "The 2 funniest people in radio are in this room." Ace shot back with a "Bryan since when did you become the second funniest person in radio?" There were some good moments. In a sea of bad hours.

Don't forget Cancer Danny

I lasted about 6 weeks of the Bonaduce era, until I developed ear cancer, and simply could not take it anymore. DB is unarguably the least interesting person on the planet.

I took a year off from the ACS, and got acquainted with a lot of great alternative podcast offerings out there... most had nothing to do with Danny Bonaduce or Jack Silver.

Please take a year off whining about the fucking ACP here.

It's too bad I couldn't embed this clip during the Bonaduce era. It's very expressive of the way I felt, lots and lots of times.

The Danny era was the most hard to listen to, not to mention the most awkward. Everything that Adam stood for (Capt Blowhard) contradicted why Danny was on the show!
