I used to live in Reno, and I'd listen to Ace on the drive up Mt. Rose in the morning to construction sites. I got stopped by the Incline Village police because the crappy 1987 GMC truck I was driving was burning too much oil. As I drove away listening to Adam reminisce about days in construction I thought: good times...
Those cops are pricks. I used to paint houses up there and one time my boss and I knocked off early to drink beers and bowl a few frames at Bowl Incline. I had to pee when we left, but I held it because my boss lived only a few blocks away and we were heading to his house. Sure enough we get about 100 yards from his house and we get pulled over. The whole process of giving him the field sobriety test took almost an hour and I was dying to pee at that point. I asked the officers if I could go to the house to pee and that one of them could escort me (there were three cars and six cops at the time, overkill as usual), but they said no. Luckily there was an empty Gatorade bottle on the truck floor so I filled it up while the cops were dealing with my boss. I thought for sure one of them was going to approach me while I was doing the deed. They finally put my boss in the back of one of their cars and asked me if I was ok to drive. I said yes, but they tested me anyway and I blew a .04, so I was able to drive the truck the remaining 100 yards home. Still to this day I don't know what we were doing wrong to get us pulled over, but they lucked out because my boss ended up blowing a .09. We weren't speeding or swerving. Maybe they saw two guys leaving the bowling alley in the middle of the afternoon in painter's whites and knew something had to be up. Good times.

When did I start listening? I started listening to Loveline about 1996. Became obsessed and didn't miss an episode between 97 and 03. Now listening to itunes podcasts is (was) a daily routine.
