well Adam does always talk about "the day the comedy died." Apparently that will be this friday. A sad sad day indeed. Add me to the list of people that would happily pay for a Carolla show in podcast form.

I don't know why, but for some reason I'm not as devastated as I thought I would be. I think it's because I really believe that it's only a matter of time before we hear him somewhere else, maybe in a much better incarnation of this show. Adam LOVES radio; Adam IS radio. And there's no way in hell he'll go the rest of his life without broadcasting somewhere. He has to speak to us just as much as we have to listen to him. It's a symbiotic relationship and I find it hard to believe that it's just going to end like this. Maybe I'm being naive or overly optimistic, but I truly just see this as a bump in the road.

Can someone summarize the announcement for those that dont listen live?

I've been listening to Adam, like most people,since the Loveline days,and just listened to yesterday's podcast overnight,and am getting the announcement now...needless to say,I'm as hurt as anyone on here,and will miss the show bigtime...loved this version with Theresa and Bryan the most....Theresa had me doing While you were Out,and Bryan has proven to be very clever,and scary fast on the board...good luck to all of you,and Adam: I will gladly pay some subscription fee if it will allow you to make the podcast into the quality product you'll want to do...damn shame about this tho,appeals to me (55 years old) and my 22 year old son equally....can't find that range on radio these days

Well la-dee-fucking-da. I'm sure you think you're smarter than you really are. Seriously, if you read the complaints, they were legitimate, varied, and honest.

Adam walked in 20 seconds late to the show, and basically just blurted out.

"Well, the show's done, as of tomorrow" no beating around the bush about it, no preamble. He just put it out there. Most or all of today's show will be listeners calling in.

Man this sucks!!!! An old friend in radio once told me that Radio has nothing to do with music (this was back when he was a music DJ) its all about money, nothing but money.

No one in Mgt. cares about Adam or his listeners or what anyone has to say, if there's money coming in, they care. Stupid and Evil, as the Aceman would say.

Good call from Giovanni. Adam to begin podcasting is a great step for him to get to what he really wants to do and not be forced. I don't buy the "bring in Teresa and Brian" part, but what else could he say?

I've never really understood the Kathy Bates-Number One Fan Misery thing, but it was a good interaction to get Adam to talk openly about what he plans to do. Good call dude. Way to get to the meat of it all
