Just heard the news and came straight here because I had to express how devastated I am. I am speechless.
I wasn't this upset when I got fired a few weeks ago.

This sucks so much.

I'm not worried about Adam. He has said in the past that he always wanted to get paid for doing nothing. Well, now that has happened! They still have to finish paying him out his contract, right?

In any case, maybe he'll have the time to work on something like The Man Show 2 (or 3, if you count the non-Carolla version), Top Gear US, or other TV opportunity.

Maybe he could take over that douchebag Carson Daily's show...

I stumbled across this show in the summer of 2006 and have been a loyal listener ever since. My postings on the board have been slim to none but I think this occasion merits a response. Yeah, but back when I was told this, I naively thought that a medium that played music, and was listened to for the music, might, just might give a rat's ass about music.

It transfers to talk radio, no one listens for the commercials, we listen to hear something we like, something we agree with (or disagree with) something that makes us laugh. You''d think the CBS A Holes would care just the tiniest bit about the product they are marketing.

Adam kept saying today that it wasn't about ratings, but done more for cost cutting and to appeal to the lowest denominator. The LA Times is trying to paint this move as being done because of poor ratings.

"KLSX, a one-time classic rock station that went all-talk in 1995, had been languishing in the ratings since losing syndicated morning host Howard Stern at the end of 2005. During the last three months of 2008, KLSX averaged a 1.3% audience share among listeners 12 and older, placing it at No. 27 in the L.A.-Orange County market."

Like many others, I've been tuning in less frequently, but I'm still disappointed to see the show go. There was always at least one bit a week that would make me laugh out loud, whether it was DAG or Made Up Movies or Who the F Sells This S? I'm hopeful about Adam's podcast, especially if he's able to have guys like DAG, Kimmel and Dave Dameshek on frequently.

Also, nice to see some old posters come out of the woodworks to pay their last respects to the show. Matt Finish, where have you been??? I need your avatar even more in times of need like this.
