Well it's better than no Adam Carolla... I have never podcasted before so I don't even understand how it works : /

It's really quite simple.

Short version:
Podcasts are mp3's.
You have two choices, subscribe to the podcast and it will download automatically.
OR
Go to the website and download them individually.

iTunes has made it very simple. Go to www.apple.com and download it for free.
The 97.1 website also made TACS available everyday.
I'm certain that Adam's new website will be just as easy, if not easier.

You do not need an iPod to listen. You can listen to it right from your computer.

I'm sure that Adam's new website will make it very logical and intuitive.

Seriously, feel free to send me or 1780ies guy a private message and we can provide whatever info you need. In fact, I'm sure ANYBODY here would be happy to show you how to acquire the show.

Shit. I am gutted this is the end of the road. I live in London and one of my biggest pleasures was taking the tube to work, with a shit eating grin on my face listening to the ace man on my ipod while everyone else looked like someone had just pissed in there tea.

Brother. All the best for the future. You rule.

You guys, I'm absolutely gutted.

This has been my favorite radio show for three years and I'm going to miss it terribly. I listened live at work and when Adam signed off for the last time I had to go into the bathroom because I didn't want my coworkers to see me cry, which I did. Bucketfulls.

Of course I'm going to miss the Talk Soup clips, Stupid Beyond Belief, Eric Stromer's construction advice, the Huell Houser parodies, Cross-country roadtrip, DAG, Celebrity Gossip, Gaywalking, T's News, Bald Bryan's drops, and all the other hilarious and imaginative bits and flourishes that made this show one of the funniest and smartest anywhere on radio.

But most of all I'm going to miss Adam's interviews with people like Ken Burns and Lee Soucy and Buzz Aldrin. I'm a WWII history nerd (and history nerd in general) and I loved that Adam would bring on these people who witnessed and documented these important events and shared them with us.

I hope with the podcast that Adam will have Ken Burns on when he's ready to talk about his next project and I'd really love it if Adam continues the tradition of having the wonderful Soucy as a guest on Dec 7th (if he's still with us).

Sigh.

In a show of solidarity, and to lessen our grieving, let us all be the best oral receivers we can be until we next hear from the Ace Man.

I don't care what anyone says, the first year of TACS was the funniest. Then second year with Danny, was hard to get used too, but it still carried ... The last year you could definitely tell that someone, aka Jack the bullet Silver, was effing with the show. It wasn't as funny, there were hardly any bits to make us laugh, and it was very monotone. I hope Adam gets on satellite and gets away from FM radio. FM radio is horrible, outside of listening to Adam, who really listens to this garbage anymore?

Agreed.
I think Adam would've wanted it that way.

I started a group on Face book "What happened to Adam Corolla" ...I live in Las Vegas and am now am forced to listen to Mark and Mercedes in the morning! Not quite the same...

Feeling sad, very sad today that I don't have their review of the Oscar's to listen to today.

I want to hear Adam rant on how Heath Leger's family only talked about how they loved him and what a great guy he was, not one mention of how he wasted his own life doing drugs. Maybe say something like "Don't do drugs, there is no glory in his death." WE KNOW YOU LOVED HIM YOU DIPSHITS!

oh god make the hurting stop...... im soooo bummed guys.

I'm missing the Oscar talk with them today too... hell, I'm just having a hard time working today b/c I would download the podcast, and listen off and on all day until I listened to the whole show. My office was quiet today as I went through some paperwork.

BTW, did they ever say if Ledger's death was deliberate (either a. trying to kill himself, or b. trying to get high.) I thought that there was an investigation going on b/c he shouldn't have been given those drugs in that combination when he was having respiratory issues (pneumonia). I'm not sure if the case isn't still open, which may be why they haven't spoken more on it.

If I were them, I'd be pissed at the pharmacists and doctor... frankly, its why I buy all my stuff from one, locally owned place even though its a touch more expensive.

I am caught up with the podcasts of the show for the first time in 6 months, but that isn't a good thing. I confess that Mary's call Thursday morning choked me up, and I've been pretty bummed since. Fortunately for me, there were already 2 of Adam's new podcasts as soon as I finished the show. Life goes on I guess.

Ragemanchoo- 03-03-2009
KUFO in Portland is still playing ACS reruns 6am - 10am. So I guess KLSX is still giving them a feed.

Sooo.. is the new show available streaming over the net? What time is it on?

BTW whats Loveline been up to lately? I haven't tuned in in months. Is that asshole who took Adam's place still there?

TheColdOne- 03-06-2009
I'm just going to post here real quick. I'm just pissed at myself for not listening in sooner. I started only a few months ago (Nov/Dec), and am STILL a month behind (just finished the 1/20/09 broadcast last night). I loved what I got of the show and it's upsetting that it went down... I'll have to listen in to get the exact details on the happenings.

And, like with the show, I am behind on his podcast (haven't even started it yet), but I already subscribed to it on my Zune to get it ready to go.

Adiós from a 103.9 Phoenix listener.

A smug douche whose brand of humor relied on name-dropping d-list celebrities and his "morning zoo crew" laughing over their own stale jokes wasn't exactly a great fit for an alt-rock station. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Thank god for the economic downturn. Radio stations are finally realizing people would rather listen to music than jabbering overpaid "celebrity" dj's.
