Assuming the "rumors" are true (they should be verified by Friday...at the latest), and there is big change coming to both KLSX and Adam's show in a few days.....

How will Adam's show be remembered? As the last Howard Stern "replacemement" to make it, or maybe just an incredibly original and inventive morning drive program? Or, perhaps it will go down being seen in another light?

They definitely tinkered with the ingredients a bit - Dave Dameshek/Jim Brusca/Rachel Perry --> Danny Bonaduce --> Teresa/Bryan.

The one constant was always Adam. And while many viewed his "factory" as more of a "warehouse" as of late, it's clear that HE was the reason people still found the show (either on their radio dial, via the stream, or dowloading of podcasts).

No matter the format Adam chooses to display his talents in next, this board will always be here following the latest adventures of the Ace Man.

I hope the rumors are not true. But at least you are not nuking the board either way.

What prompted you to start this thread? Is there a real threat to the show?

It sucks because as crappy as the show has been lately, it still is better then anything else on the Seattle radio dial. God speed ACS...

What if he brings Bryan AND Teresa to his next gig. WWPOD?

thoreau- 02-17-2009
Can we please keep the thread focused on the show rather than the working out of Teresa issues?

Not happening, no producer or station manager or whatever would allow Teresa to leech off Adam again. Hypothetically if it did happen I would suicide bomb the show and protect the world against the pain

For those who haven't been following closely :

CBS may cut dividend
KCBS or KLSX to flip this week?
Will KLSX drop talk for music?
Westwood One drops Leykis

What prompted me to start this thread is the imminent demise of KLSX, and Adam's show.

As far as I am aware, the show will cease to exist - although I am sure there is a chance that the show might be shopping itself elsewhere. And, to be honest, I do not know much about the affiliate agreements/requirements (I'm assuming that they're signed on for as long as the show is around, and if it's no longer around the agreement goes away too).

Adam has some other irons in the fire, as always, and will be fine whether the show powers through or goes away in less than a week.

I think the show was solid in '06, Danny Bonaduce-bad in '07, pretty good for the first half of '08, and has gone on a steady decline since.

I beleive Adam to STILL be the funniest dude around, but I think the environment he was performing in did NOT aid his skills...rather detracted. And, yes, I understand that he helped build the environment - ironically, I don't think that is one his better skills.

Thanks for the background. Now I'm worried.

Please Jesus let Adam go back to Loveline!

Declining revenue. Bloated salaries. Abysmal ratings. Do the math.

Yes, while my enjoyment of the show has declined quite a bit - I cannot share in PO's crazy ranting for it's demise. I'm sure Adam has a locked in contract, so I'm guessing he'll get paid (and that's priority #1) whether or not the show attempts to power on. And I'm sure Adam wouldn't want us to shed crocodile tears for him as if push comes to shove, he can just sell one or two of his cars to "get by".

We will see what happens, but I have received varying reports of "when" they'll address it (and I guess doing a segment about being laid off might be a sign) - and I don't know if they can go through the motions until THURS-FRI, but maybe they will.

For you super fans out there, go listen back to last week when Fake Jack Silver briefly popped on-air and said "there' still time peeps!" and when Adam told everyone there is "still time" to send in The Hammer jackets for signature.

This is where I feel I never got the memo that the rest of the board received. I still love the show and listen to the podcasts each day. I have no problem with Teresa and I think that Adam has one of the quickest minds among all entertainers.

I do think that they could have used an extra voice in the show to give it a little variety and to make things go in an unexpected fashion. And god knows, they could bring in someone who might laugh out loud to Adam's jokes.

But if the demise of the show is really happening, I'm going to miss it very much.
