Are they going to have the fundraiser? Adam mentioned a telethon but I wish they would have an event. Adam hosted a big event so a bunch of inner-city kids could learn Shakespeare (haven't they been through enough?). Why not do something similar for Bryan? That would be a real worthy cause. They wouldn't need to get Leno or anything; I would gladly pay for the ability just to meet Adam and Bryan again.

If they hold it in Vegas... I'll be there

If they were to hold it at Mandalay, or maybe even the Plaza closer to Fremont, that would be great. I'd enjoy attending.

Adam would raise far more money selling tickets to an event he attended than by playing Jerry Lewis. He also did pretty well with the eBay auctions. He could reprise those to raise some cash for Bryan.

I'm planning on offering to send Bryan and Christie on a trip for part of their honeymoon using my comp passes through work. Is this appropriate, and if so, is anyone interested in throwing together some cash with me to upgrade their hotels? This is not an advertisement, but I never use my free passes and I can't think of anyone I'd like to see them used by more than those two. I generally get industry discounts, but it would be cool to toss in some limos and such.

I'm sure they would appreciate the hotel.

No offense, but no one here knows who you are and it would be a lot easier anyway to send the money straight to Bryan instead of sending it to you.

No offense taken, and I understand what you're saying. I'd be happy to personally address any inquiries, and am not asking anyone to send me anything. I'm thinking that if any board members want to get in on the same invitation, and we could verbally agree to pool a few bucks together, it might be nice. I'll talk to my bosses in the morning and maybe there'll be no need to gather some cash.

Didn't he just win $100,000 on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Doesn't he have health insurance? Why does he need money?

SRLY?

He probably only got 50k from the prize after taxes. He still have to pay COBRA for his medical coverage. He recently got married up in Napa. Before the cancer he was hoping to use the money he got from Millionare to put it as down payment on a house. He's out of a job, and if I'm not mistaken so is his wife.

It's very fortunately for him to have known friends that is able and willing to help him.
