Whatever random Mexican owned my crappy '94 Accord before me self-installed a remote start/alarm system and, when the AC actually worked, it was a real treat for cooling down the leather seats.

The audio was weird for me on my phone...first half was fine, then when they switched to the outside and the cars edmunds brought the audio went to hell.
But the second half was fine on my computer. ??? Maybe it's my setup. |

I think pretty much all BMWs with iDrive have both the Parked Car Vent option and the Climate Timer where you can turn the fan on at a certain time of day.
Dan Edmunds mentioned the X5 and they had an image online. The newer iDrive has similar functionality, but with a newer interface. |

What the hell was up with that part where Sandy Ganz said that he had a note to read from Adam, but then didn't read it. Was that a joke? I couldn't understand what was happening.

The last two carcasts when ever they go to a video segment, the audio goes to complete shit!
They need to make the carcast a video podcast. Any segments done "in studio" can just have a static picture if they are trying to save $$$... but every week I listen to this thing flipping back and forth between the audio podcast on my i-tunes, and then when they go out to look at a car I fire up my browser and watch the video.... then when that segment is over I go back to i-tunes and skip forward through the audio portion of the video I just watched... so on and so forth... it is a royal pain in the ass! Hard to bitch about something we get for free... but the audio quality is killing me. Keith -------------------- 37 ?!?!?!?

Edmonds seems like a pretty cool guy. He's a good guest to have back again.

Unfortunately, you can't really get one of the Mini Es. There was a significant waiting list and selection process. A friend of mine (Peter) actually got one and his was the first delivered in the US. (brag brag brag...) I believe they delivered just under 500... I think worldwide.
I was lucky enough to drive it around his neighborhood. It is amazing how quick that little car is. They are also right about the regenerative braking. You just lift your foot off the accelerator and, faster than you'd expect, come to a halt. I bet the brakes on those cars last nearly the lifetime of the vehicle. For anyone really interested in the program, Peter is blogging about his experiences as a Mini E driver. http://petersminie.blogspot.com/ -------------------- “Hey guess what? We got some C and D list celebrities. They’re going to be doing the Cha-Cha for ya! Thanks, but no thanks, I’d rather just stare at the spider make its web up in the corner of my mom’s basement.” Adam Carolla 6/2/06

Does the inflated sense of self satisfaction outweigh the fact you have no back seat because there is a 600lb battery back there? Yeesh.

A bunch of E30 M3 owners complained about everything from hp numbers to the badge is too low on the trunk. And seemed a bit whine-ee for me so you would only have got it if you had checked out the official carcast blog with all the complaints... Sandy -------------------- |
