In the spirit of speculating while I could be listening, I'm interested in this one and how the discussion will unfold with this liberal guest. I saw their recent 'Yes Men' feature on HBO and it was pretty cool.

Andy is promoting his new film, but I've seen the original "The Yes Men (2003)", and I recommend it as a rental or whatever. Even if you're not a "pussy liberal", it's pretty funny.

This should be good. These guys make outrageous scenarios and corporate goons leap through hoops for them before being turned out for fools.
I'll go ahead and post for LABiker: "The Yes Men? More like the 'The No Men.' Sorry Adam, but you've struck out once again. Off to pick Poochie up on my moped for our double date with Jew Alcindor and Satan!" -------------------- |

Ehh at times it was kind of interesting hearing about some of the stunts they pull but Adam never disagreed with him and the comedy was nonexistant.
All in all it's more or less worth a listen just don't expect much. |

Ah, Adam doesn't know which president followed JFK? Was he kidding?

Adam seems to be pretending he agrees with everything Andy is saying even though we know he doesn't.

Yah, podcasts this are why I wonder how come Adam is so hell bent on getting (at least) every other guest to rip on some other comedian/actor/director. He agreed with the guy just to agree with him, for sure, in spots - why is it Adam can't grasp that some of his guests might run into/work with the same people he wants them to pile on (just as he chooses not to discuss his true viewpoint when the guest's is opposite his own)?
Adam is definitely no fan of confrontation ... but it is always a bit of a let down when he can't simply debate something, calmly, and move on without "someone giving in" before doing so. I guess, if anything, this will be a call-back in 2-3 months when some other guest is sitting in and Adam half-heartedly tries to remember this dude's name and how whacked some of his stuff was etc. Good thing Dr. Spaz and James Gunn stopped in this week - as a couple of the others were not-so-hot and the other one was "meh". -------------------- Follow @CarollaBoards for updates & news! -- TWITTER ME @1780sGuy -- Archive of ALL Adam Carolla Podcasts -- Don't FREAKOUT, bookmark just in case! -- Dameshek Talk

Liked the interview part of this, which was the first 15 minutes. The Chamber of Commerce stunt was pretty topical since it was just last week or two weeks ago, and has been in the news ever since. The one part where I really disagree with Bichlbaum's "no harm, no foul" reasoning that they committed no legal offense is stocks. This is the kind of stunt that can move markets, so I'm not real sure that they will get off scott-free. I know they didn't do it to manipulate stocks, but the Chamber swapping positions is something that would move different sectors.
The next half hour is Adam ranting and the guy verbally nodding. |

A fairly unspectacular podcast. Not the worst I've heard, but certainly not among the best either.
I couldn't decide whether I was glad that Adam avoided being a dick by not challenging everything that the guy said about the role of big corporations in American public life, or disappointed that Adam didn't try to present his standard argument that pure, unbridled capitalism is the best way to solve all of the world's problems to someone that might be in a position to refute some of his more ludicrously dumb-ass points. --------------------

I'd have preferred he interviewed her. For a guy who seems to make a living pointing out how stupid everyone is, this guy sure seemed to not know a lot of stuff. -------------------- 'You don't work with Bonaduce; you work around Bonaduce.'
